The company FLADT was founded in 1988 as a retail company by Hans Fladt. In the first few years, Hans Fladt limited himself to the maintenance and repair of electrical machines in the trade sector as a sideline. The business area of industrial fittings was added in the following years. In 1991, the company was converted into a limited liability company. The focus became more and more on industrial valves. So the existing workshop soon became too small and was finally extended in 1998 with a new building for workshop and office.
Hans Fladt’s son, Rüdiger Fladt, joined the company in 2004 and the industrial electronics division was created, as valves and electronics/control technology complemented each other very well. In the same year, an additional electrician was hired. Two years later, in 2006, two part-time employees were added for the workshop and then in 2008, another electrical engineer was taken on.
In 2005, the company‘s shares were changed so that Hans Fladt and Rüdiger Fladt could be appointed managing directors. In the meantime, Fladt GmbH employs five full-time workers, four part-time employees and two external graduate engineers.
FLADT Engineering UG was founded in 2011, for the purpose of the aim of outsourcing the development of new products under patent law.
In 2015, Fladt Engineering was converted into a GmbH (limited liability company) and the areas of industrial electronics, fire brigade technology, test rigs and the construction of valve stands were relocated.
In 2016, new rooms were occupied at Max-Planck-Str. 14 in Kehl-Auenheim.
In 2020, the 100th pump test rig was delivered to the FTZ (Fire Brigade Technical Centre) in Wernigerode.
